This morning in assembly we received some wonderful certificates and cheques from kind representatives from the Royal Canadian Legion. We all enjoyed writing our poems and essays on such an interesting topic.
Alison says: "I was very thrilled when I got called up to the front of the assembly."
"I was surprised to know that I won second place in the junior essay!" exclaimed Madeline.
"It was an amazing experience!" commented Charlotte.
''Being told I had won third place in the junior poem was an outstanding goal accomplished," said Peter.
We'd like to thank Mrs. Block, Mr. Lyle and Mr. Cochrane for joining us at this morning's Assembly and making these fabulous presentations.

Today we went to Science World to learn more about the human body. The first activity we did was to watch the IMAX film The Human Body. We loved watching it. From there we went down to the snack area and had our snacks. Then we went to explore the second floor, and toured the Body Works and Eureka exhibits!!
After that we went to our Grossology workshop with Chris. He showed us a video of the internal organs and taught us more about our internal organs. Then Alex G. and I had a pooping contest in which we had to push a marble down a narrow tube. At the end we created our own bags of snot !!! From there we went to explore more of the second floor and that's where our experience ended.
We took the bus back talking about the awesome things we learned.
